Sherry lives in San Francisco with her husband and daughter.
She is delighted to head up the Asher team! The opportunity to combine her favorite causes – education, service and philanthropy – in support of the Christian Science movement is a true gift.
Director of Operations
Joy began her work with Asher in January 2013. She had worked with college students for 23 years at Principia College where she was involved in nearly every aspect of campus life. She was a Resident Counselor and the Director of Freshmen Housing, and served on campus-wide committees, including Admissions, Scholarship and Orientation. Additionally, Joy administered the campus disciplinary processes, and hired and trained Resident Assistants for the Freshmen Houses. Prior to her work at Principia, Joy and her husband, Tim, were residential realtors in Portland, Oregon. They also bought, fixed up and sold many properties of their own over a 20-year period. Joy earned a BA in Education/Sociology from Principia College in 1974.
Joy lives and works in San Diego — less than two hours from her son, daughter-in-law and grandson.
Working for Asher Student Foundation is an opportunity for her to continue to serve the cause of Christian Science and to work with young people, which she loves!
